How Can I Help Fight the Marriage Amendment?
DONATE TODAY to www.centeradvocacy.org or www.equalityforall.com. This campaign will require that we match the extremists dollar for dollar -- and they have already begun! It is vital that we collect every $5, $50, $500, and $5,000 donation that we can as quickly as we can! This fundraising effort will mean thousands of individuals and organizations will be reaching out to friends and family and encouraging them to support fairness and equality.
Some of you will receive solicitations from a variety of organizations within the Equality for All coalition, we apologize for the duplication, but it is vital that we reach every fair-minded Californian that we can! Donations all go to fight the marriage amendment! (Donations are not tax deductible).
Volunteer to Help the First Day of Marriages. Many loving, committed couples have waited decades for this day, and the entire community is excited for them! Lines at the Registrar's office are expected to be long in the first few weeks and it's important that you are prepared for the wait.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center and The Center Advocacy Project will provide volunteers who can help provide coffee or water, and can help couples receive the dignity and respect that this day deserves.
